TGSRTC's Pushpak airport buses run on five routes between Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad and Hyderabad, and four of them run all night, in both directions. Only AK, to Lingampally, keeps day hours. The busiest route is AJ, to Gachibowli, HITEC City and Miyapur, with a bus every 15 minutes for most of the day.

The times here are TGSRTC's Pushpak schedules as the airport publishes them, dated March 2026, and the same times are in our timetables. For what each trip costs, see our Pushpak fare guide.

Pushpak routes and timings at a glance

AK

Lingampally, by the Outer Ring Road

Every 50 min

None

Each route runs the same number of buses both ways: 80 a day each way on AJ, 60 on AL, 36 on AC, 24 on AA and 16 on AK.

Pushpak timings from Hyderabad airport

These are the buses that leave the airport after midnight, when the exact time matters most. Through the day they leave at the intervals above, and every departure is on each route's timetable.

Pushpak timings to Hyderabad airport

The same for the buses towards the airport. These are the times they leave the start of the route; they reach the stops along the way later.

Route

Midnight to 6 am

Last before midnight

AJ from Miyapur

12:15, 12:45, 1:15, 1:45, 2:15, 3:00, 3:30, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, 5:15, 5:30, 5:45

11:45 pm

AK from Lingampally

None; the first is at 5:45 am

8:45 pm

Catching an early flight

The latest bus from the start of each route that reaches the airport by the time shown, going by the timetable: AJ from Miyapur, AL and AC from JBS, and AA from Secunderabad. All the times are in the morning. The roads are quiet at that hour, but if you can, take the bus before.

At the airport by

AJ

AL

AC

AA

4:00

2:15

2:00

2:45

12:55

5:00

3:30

3:30

3:45

3:15

6:00

4:30

4:10

4:45

4:15

AK's first bus from Lingampally reaches the airport at about 7 am, so it is no use for an early departure.

How long the Pushpak takes

End to end, AA and AC take about 1 hour 10 minutes, AK 1 hour 15 minutes, AL 1 hour 20 minutes and AJ 1 hour 30 minutes to Miyapur. Gachibowli, the first stop on AJ, is about an hour from the airport. Allow more in the evening rush.

Which Pushpak to take

AJ for Gachibowli, HITEC City (Cyber Towers), Kondapur (Kothaguda), JNTU and Miyapur.

AK for Lingampally. It runs on the Outer Ring Road and stops nowhere in between.

AL for LB Nagar, Nagole, Uppal, Tarnaka and Sangeeth, near Secunderabad.

AC for Mehdipatnam (NMDC), Panjagutta, Begumpet and JBS.

AA for MGBS, the Secretariat, Paradise and Secunderabad railway station.

Where to catch the Pushpak at the airport

Pushpak buses leave from Pickup Point D. You buy your ticket on the bus, and luggage goes in at no extra charge. From 10 pm to 6 am, fares from the airport are ₹50 to ₹100 lower than by day; the fare guide has every fare.

Pushpak bus timings: common questions

Does the Pushpak run 24 hours?

Yes, on four of the five routes: AJ, AL, AC and AA run all night in both directions. AK runs from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm from the airport, and from 5:45 am to 8:45 pm from Lingampally.

When is the last Pushpak from Hyderabad airport?

On four routes there is no last bus, but the gaps widen before dawn: AL has none between 3:45 and 5:25 am, AC none between 2:50 and 4:30 am, and AA none between 2:50 and 5:10 am. AJ keeps running every 20 to 40 minutes. The last AK to Lingampally leaves at 10:30 pm.

How often does the Pushpak go to Gachibowli and HITEC City?

Route AJ leaves the airport every 15 minutes for most of the day, and every 15 to 40 minutes after midnight.

What time is the first Pushpak from Lingampally to the airport?

5:45 am, then every 50 minutes until 11:35 am. After a break, buses run again from 2:55 pm, every 50 minutes until the last at 8:45 pm.

How long does the Pushpak take from the airport to JBS?

About 1 hour 10 minutes on AC, by Panjagutta and Begumpet, or 1 hour 20 minutes on AL, by LB Nagar and Uppal.

Where does the Pushpak leave from at the airport?

Pickup Point D, outside the terminal.

Find your stop

The airport bus from Majestic is KIA-9, BMTC's air-conditioned Vayu Vajra from Kempegowda Bus Station to Kempegowda International Airport. It runs round the clock, 102 times a day, every 10 to 20 minutes, and takes about an hour. The fare is ₹290, paid on the bus.

The timings here are from BMTC's Vayu Vajra chart in force from 17 September 2026, and the fares from its stop-by-stop fare chart of 5 January 2025, the latest it has published.

KIA-9 at a glance

Route

KIA-9, BMTC Vayu Vajra (air-conditioned)

From

Kempegowda Bus Station, Majestic

To

Kempegowda International Airport (BLR)

Fare

₹290

Buses a day

102 to the airport, 103 back

First and last

12:05 am and 11:50 pm, both ways

How often

Every 10 to 20 minutes; up to 30 after midnight

Journey

About 1 hour, 35 km

Payment

Cash or UPI, on board

Where to catch KIA-9 at Majestic

KIA-9 leaves from the BMTC side of Kempegowda Bus Station, the half used by city buses. The other half, for KSRTC and other out-of-town buses, is where the Majestic metro station is, and KSR Bengaluru City railway station is across the road from both.

BMTC does not publish a platform number for KIA-9, and the numbers given online do not agree with each other. On the BMTC side, look for the Vayu Vajra board and the air-conditioned Volvo coaches showing KIA-9, or ask at the BMTC enquiry counter.

From the metro: Nadaprabhu Kempegowda station, Majestic, is where the Purple and Green lines meet. Follow the signs for the BMTC bus station.

From a train at KSR Bengaluru: the bus station is a short walk across the road.

KIA-9 timings from Majestic

There is no timetable to plan around: a bus leaves every 10 to 20 minutes, day and night.

Leaving Majestic

Buses

How often

Midnight to 5 am

16

Every 15 to 30 min

5 am to 10 am

19

Every 15 to 20 min

10 am to 4 pm

26

Every 10 to 15 min

4 pm to 9 pm

29

Every 10 to 15 min

9 pm to midnight

12

Every 15 min

The first bus leaves Majestic at 12:05 am and the last at 11:50 pm, and there is never more than half an hour between two buses. Every departure, and when it reaches each stop, is on the KIA-9 timetable.

Which KIA-9 to catch for your flight

BMTC allows an hour from Majestic to the airport, but Bellary Road through Hebbal is slow at busy times. This table assumes you want to be at the terminal two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international one, and adds 30 minutes for traffic. It gives the latest KIA-9 to catch from Majestic.

Flight

Domestic

International

6:00 am

2:20 am

1:20 am

8:00 am

4:20 am

3:20 am

10:00 am

6:30 am

5:20 am

1:00 pm

9:30 am

8:30 am

6:00 pm

2:25 pm

1:30 pm

9:00 pm

5:25 pm

4:25 pm

11:30 pm

8:00 pm

6:55 pm

In the evening rush, roughly 5 pm to 8 pm, take the bus before the one in the table.

KIA-9 fares from each stop

BMTC sets one fare for each stop rather than charging by the kilometre. From Majestic as far as RM Guttahalli it is ₹290, and it falls as you get closer to the airport.

Board at

Fare to the airport

Majestic (Kempegowda Bus Station)

₹290

RM Guttahalli

₹290

Mekhri Circle

₹240

Hebbal

₹210

Esteem Mall (Dairy Gate)

₹190

Kogilu Cross

₹180

Hunasamaranahalli

₹150

Luggage goes in the bay under the bus at no extra charge. You can pay by UPI, but carry cash too: UPI on BMTC's airport buses has failed for days at a time before. If a UPI payment goes through and no ticket comes out, BMTC refunds it to your account within two or three working days.

Stops on the way

KIA-9 heads north through Mekhri Circle and Hebbal, then up Bellary Road and the airport highway. The minutes are from Majestic. Only the two ends are timetabled, so the times between are estimated from the distance along the route.

Majestic (Kempegowda Bus Station)

Shivananda Store, 3 min

RM Guttahalli, 6 min

Mekhri Circle, 9 min

From the airport to Majestic

KIA-9 leaves the airport 103 times a day, also from 12:05 am to 11:50 pm, and every 10 to 15 minutes even through the night. It starts at the BMTC bays by Terminal 1 and calls at Terminal 2 a few minutes later; from arrivals, follow the signs for BMTC buses. The fare is the same, ₹290.

It is the bus to take for a train from KSR Bengaluru City station or an out-of-town bus from Kempegowda Bus Station. Times are on the KIA-9 timetable from the airport.

Is there a metro from Majestic to the airport?

Not yet. Majestic is on Namma Metro's Purple and Green lines, but neither goes to the airport. The airport section of the Blue Line, from Hebbal, is not planned to open before September 2027. Until then, KIA-9 is the bus straight from Majestic to the terminals.

If you want to get around Goa by airport bus rather than a taxi, Mopa is the easier airport by a wide margin. Manohar International Airport at Mopa (GOX) has about 12 KTCL airport buses a day to Mapusa, Panaji, Calangute and Margao, running until 9:30 pm. Dabolim (GOI) has four a day, to Panaji and Calangute only, and the last one leaves the airport at 4:00 pm.

Every time and fare below is from KTCL's own booking system, queried for each day from 29 September to 5 October 2026. Which airport suits you still depends on where you are staying and when you land, so here is how the two compare, town by town.

North Goa: Mapusa, Calangute and the beaches

Mopa, in Pernem in the far north of the state, is the obvious airport for North Goa. Every Mopa airport bus calls at the Mapusa Kadamba bus stand, and five a day continue to Calangute Football Ground for ₹200, about an hour and a half from the airport. For Baga or Candolim, continue from Calangute by taxi.

From Dabolim, the same Calangute stop is served four times a day, also for ₹200 and about an hour and a half, by way of Panaji.

Panaji

Panaji is the one place both airports serve well, and the fare is lower from Dabolim: ₹150 against ₹200. From Mopa to Panaji there are seven buses a day, on the Mopa–Margao and Mopa–Panaji routes, taking about an hour. From Dabolim to Panaji there are four, at 7:30 am, 8:00 am, 1:45 pm and 4:00 pm, also about an hour.

South Goa and Margao

Dabolim is the closer airport to South Goa, but it has no airport bus there: its only route runs north to Panaji and Calangute. The one airport bus to Margao is from Mopa, five a day for ₹400, about two hours via Mapusa and Panaji. If you are staying in South Goa and landing at Dabolim, you will need a taxi.

Landing in the afternoon or evening? Mind the last bus

This is where the two airports differ most. The last airport bus from Dabolim leaves at 4:00 pm; land after that and there is no KTCL airport bus until the next morning. From Mopa, the last bus to Calangute leaves at 8:30 pm and the last one to Mapusa, Panaji and Margao at 9:30 pm.

Mornings are the other way round for Dabolim: its first bus from the airport leaves at 7:30 am, while Mopa's first is at 8:30 am.

Catching a flight: buses to each airport

To Mopa, the first buses leave Calangute and Margao at 6:00 am, reaching the airport at 7:15 am and 8:00 am. The last to arrive leaves Margao at 5:45 pm, calls at Panaji at 7:00 pm and Mapusa at 7:30 pm, and reaches Mopa at 8:00 pm.

To Dabolim, the first bus leaves Calangute at 9:59 am and Panaji at 10:31 am, reaching the airport at 11:45 am, so there is no airport bus for a morning flight. The last leaves Calangute at 6:30 pm and Panaji at 7:00 pm, arriving at 8:00 pm.

Tickets and luggage

Mopa: buy your ticket at the KTCL counter by the airport bus stop, or book a seat ahead at goakadamba.com. Riders report that the stop is across two roads from the terminal exit, that trolleys cannot be taken to it, and that there is no luggage hold, so bags go in the aisle.

Dabolim: seats can be booked online at goakadamba.com. KTCL's airport fares carry no luggage charge.

Can you travel between Mopa and Dabolim by bus?

There is no direct bus, but you can change at the Panaji Kadamba bus stand, where both airports' buses stop. For example, the 9:00 am from Mopa reaches Panaji at 10:00 am, in time for the 10:31 am to Dabolim, which arrives at 11:45 am. With only four Dabolim buses a day, check the connection before you rely on it.

So which Goa airport should you fly into?

Staying in North Goa, or going to Margao without a taxi: Mopa.

Landing after 4 pm and relying on the bus: Mopa, whose buses run until 9:30 pm.

Going to Panaji or Calangute, landing in time for one of Dabolim's four buses: either works, and Dabolim is ₹50 cheaper to Panaji.

Staying in South Goa: Dabolim is closer, but you will need a taxi from either airport.

Flights have been moving to Mopa. A September 2026 report put Dabolim's passenger numbers down 13% and Mopa's up 34%, with 13 flights moved from Dabolim to Mopa.

Goa airport bus: common questions

The Pushpak airport bus fare from Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) is ₹200 to ₹450 by day, depending on how far you go: ₹200 to Shamshabad, ₹350 to Mehdipatnam or LB Nagar, and ₹450 to JBS, Miyapur or Lingampally. Between 10 pm and 6 am the same trips cost ₹50 to ₹100 less, from ₹100 to ₹400. You pay on the bus.

These are TGSRTC's fares since its June 2025 revision and the night-fare cut that followed, and the fares still reported in January 2026. Many fare tables online still show the older ₹100 to ₹300 figures, which is why quoted Pushpak fares disagree so much.

Pushpak bus fares from Hyderabad airport

Lingampally

AK

₹450

₹400

The fare table TGSRTC announced names these points only. Every other stop is charged by distance on the same scale; ask for the exact fare when you board.

Pushpak night fares: 10 pm to 6 am

Since August 2025, Pushpak buses leaving the airport between 10 pm and 6 am are cheaper, by ₹50 to ₹100 depending on the distance. The biggest cut is on the shortest trips: the airport to Shamshabad or Pahadi Shareef is ₹100 at night, half the daytime fare. The longest, to JBS, Miyapur or Lingampally, is ₹400 instead of ₹450.

TGSRTC made the cut for passengers on late flights, and most of the network runs through the night. Four of the five routes, AJ, AL, AC and AA, have buses from the airport after midnight; only AK to Lingampally stops for the night, with its last bus at 10:30 pm.

Fares towards the airport

Going to the airport costs less than coming back. TGSRTC's June 2025 revision added ₹50 to fares towards the airport and ₹100 to fares from it, and the night reduction applies to trips from the airport. We have not found a current fare table from TGSRTC for the airport-bound direction; ₹350 from the far ends, JBS, Secunderabad and Miyapur, is the figure most often quoted. Nearer stops cost less.

Which Pushpak route to take

Route

Serves

From the airport

AJ

Gachibowli, HITEC City, Kothaguda, JNTU, Miyapur

Round the clock, about every 15 min

AL

Pahadi Shareef, Balapur, LB Nagar, Uppal, Tarnaka, JBS

Round the clock, about every 20 min

AC

Shamshabad, Aramghar, Mehdipatnam (NMDC), Panjagutta, Begumpet, JBS

Round the clock, about every 30 min

AA

Shamshabad, Aramghar, MGBS, Secretariat, Secunderabad

Round the clock, hourly

AK

Lingampally, over the Outer Ring Road

7:30 am to 10:30 pm, about every 50 min

For the IT corridor, take AJ. For Secunderabad and the old city, AA; for Banjara Hills and Begumpet, AC; for LB Nagar, Uppal and the east, AL. Journeys take between about 70 minutes (AA and AC) and 90 minutes (AJ to Miyapur) end to end, more in peak traffic.

Every route's night departures, in both directions, are in our Pushpak timings guide.

Where to board at Hyderabad airport

Pushpak buses board at Pickup Point D. The airport moved the Pushpak stop there to shorten the walk from the terminal. Tickets are sold on the bus.

Ways to pay less

Travel after 10 pm or before 6 am from the airport, when every fare is ₹50 to ₹100 lower.

Buy a return. The airport lists 10% off a return journey made within 10 days.

Use a monthly pass if you fly or commute to the airport often; the airport lists one for Pushpak.

Pushpak or a cab from the airport?

The airport publishes its radio taxi tariffs: ₹895 for the first 20 km and ₹23 a km after that with one operator, or ₹1,000 for the first 28 km and ₹27 a km with the other. The Pushpak routes into the city run 32 to 44 km, so a radio taxi over the same distance comes to roughly ₹1,100 to ₹1,450, against ₹450 on the bus by day and ₹400 at night.

For one or two people the bus is far cheaper. For three travelling together to the far end of a route, three Pushpak tickets cost about as much as one radio taxi, so the cab starts to make sense, especially with a lot of luggage.

Why Pushpak fares online disagree

Pushpak fares have changed twice since mid-2025. In June 2025 TGSRTC raised them, by ₹50 towards the airport and ₹100 away from it; in August 2025 it cut the fares from the airport between 10 pm and 6 am. Fare tables written before either change, still widely copied, give ₹100 to ₹300 or a flat ₹300. The fares above are the ones reported after both changes, and still reported in January 2026.

Pushpak fare: common questions

Chennai airport has two MTC bus routes of its own. MAA1 runs along GST Road through Pallavaram, Chromepet and Tambaram to the Kilambakkam bus terminus (KCBT). MAA2, air-conditioned and electric, crosses to OMR for Thoraipakkam, Sholinganallur and Siruseri IT Park. Both leave from the bus bay by Gate A6 of Terminal 2, fares are ₹13 to ₹60 paid on board, and buses run from the airport between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm.

Every time and fare below is from MTC's own timetable and fare list, checked on 30 September 2026. Some of what is still widely shared from the 2025 launch is out of date: MAA1 no longer runs through the night, and MAA2 no longer goes to Akkarai. Both are covered below, along with what to do if you land after the last bus.

MAA1: Chennai airport to Tambaram and Kilambakkam

MAA1 is the route for Pallavaram, Chromepet, Tambaram and the southern suburbs along GST Road, and for the Kilambakkam bus terminus, where government buses leave for southern Tamil Nadu.
The full run takes about an hour. Times to stops along the way are estimated from each stop's distance along the route; MTC publishes only the departure times at each end.

MAA2: Chennai airport to OMR, Sholinganallur and Siruseri

MAA2 is the route for the IT corridor. It uses MTC's air-conditioned electric buses, crosses from Pallavaram on the Pallavaram–Thoraipakkam radial road, and runs down OMR to the terminus inside SIPCOT IT Park at Siruseri. There are 67 buses a day from the airport, from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm, and 69 towards it.

MTC also lists smaller stops on the way, including Pallavaram New Bridge, Vels University, 230 KV Tower, Mootakaran Chavadi and Semmancheri, with fares on the same scale. MTC does not publish a running time for MAA2, so the 1½ hours end to end is our estimate; how we worked it out is on the data sources page. Allow more in the evening peak on OMR.

First and last bus from Chennai airport

Route

First bus

Last bus

MAA1 from the airport

5:25 am

8:50 pm

MAA2 to the airport, from Siruseri

6:05 am

10:00 pm

For an early flight, the 4:50 am MAA1 from Kilambakkam reaches Tambaram about half an hour later and the airport at about 5:50 am.

Landing late? What runs after the last bus

MAA1's last bus leaves the airport at 8:50 pm and MAA2's at 10:00 pm. After that there is no bus from the terminal bay.

On the MAA1 side there is a night bus. MTC's route 70V runs between the airport and Kilambakkam through the night, but it stops out on GST Road, at Tirusulam and Meenambakkam, not at the bay by Terminal 2. From the airport it leaves at 9:55, 10:10, 10:25 and 10:40 pm, then 11:25 and 11:40 pm, midnight, and every half hour from 12:30 am to 3:30 am, with a last run at 3:50 am. Towards the airport it runs from Kilambakkam between 9:50 pm and 3:50 am, at uneven intervals of 10 minutes to an hour.

For OMR and Sholinganallur there is no MTC airport bus after 10 pm, so plan on a cab.

Going to central Chennai?

Neither MAA route goes to the city centre: MAA1 heads south down GST Road and MAA2 south-east to OMR. For Guindy, Anna Salai or Chennai Central, take the Chennai Metro from the airport's own station instead.

If you have read that MAA1 runs 24/7

Two claims from the April 2025 launch are still repeated widely, and both would send you the wrong way:

"MAA1 runs 24 hours, every 15 minutes." That is how it was announced at launch. MTC's current timetable runs MAA1 from 5:25 am to 8:50 pm from the airport. Overnight, the corridor is covered by route 70V from GST Road, as above.

"MAA2 goes to Akkarai on ECR, every 30 minutes." MAA2 was changed in August 2025 to run AC electric buses to Siruseri IT Park on OMR, and it now runs about every 10 to 15 minutes. It does not go to ECR.

Chennai airport bus: common questions

Is there a bus from Chennai airport to Tambaram?

Yes. MAA1 reaches Tambaram in about 30 minutes for ₹21, usually every 15 minutes from 5:25 am to 8:50 pm. Going the other way, it leaves Tambaram for the airport about half an hour after each departure from Kilambakkam.

Is there a bus from Chennai airport to Kilambakkam bus terminus?

Yes. MAA1 ends at Kilambakkam (KCBT), about an hour from the airport, for ₹31. After 8:50 pm, the night bus 70V runs to Kilambakkam from GST Road.

Which bus goes from Chennai airport to Sholinganallur or OMR?

MAA2. It reaches Sholinganallur in about an hour for ₹40 and continues to Navalur and Siruseri IT Park.

Does the Chennai airport bus run at night?

Not from the terminal. The last MAA1 leaves at 8:50 pm and the last MAA2 at 10:00 pm. Night route 70V runs to Kilambakkam until 3:50 am, from GST Road.

How much is the Chennai airport bus?

₹13 to ₹31 on MAA1 and ₹15 to ₹60 on MAA2, depending on how far you go, paid on board.

Where does the airport bus leave from?

From the MTC bus bay by Gate A6 of Terminal 2, a short walk from the arrival halls.

The bus to Visakhapatnam's new airport at Bhogapuram is APSRTC's Vizag Aero Express. Two air-conditioned routes, ASR-1 and ASR-2, run from Old Gajuwaka across the city to Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, about every 30 minutes from roughly 4:30 am to 10:30 pm. The full journey costs ₹400 and takes about two hours on ASR-1.

Passenger flights moved from the old Vizag airport to Bhogapuram on 17 August 2026, and the new airport is about 45 km from the city, so for most travellers the airport run is now longer than it used to be. This guide covers both Bhogapuram airport bus routes, the fare from every stop, first and last buses, and how early to leave for a flight.

Buses

20 air-conditioned buses, 16 of them electric

ASR-1 or ASR-2: which Aero Express route to take

Both routes start at Old Gajuwaka and end at the airport. They take different paths through the city and join on the highway at Marikavalasa, so from Marikavalasa, Anandapuram, Tagarapuvalasa or Airport Junction you can take whichever bus comes first.

ASR-1 is the inland route along NH-16: Old Gajuwaka, NAD Junction, Kancharapalem, Gurudwara, Maddilapalem, Hanumanthuwaka, Zoo Park, Yendada, Madhurawada and Kommadi. It is the quicker of the two and suits Gajuwaka, NAD, Akkayyapalem, Maddilapalem and the Madhurawada side of the city.

ASR-2 is the coastal route: Old Gajuwaka, Scindia, Visakhapatnam railway station, the RTC Complex (Dwaraka bus station), Siripuram, VMRDA Park, ISKCON Temple, Rushikonda and the IT Hills. It is the one to take from the railway station, the RTC Complex or anywhere along Beach Road, and it takes about half an hour longer end to end.

Aero Express fares from each stop

Fares are fixed by boarding point and fall the closer you get to the airport.

Boarding point

Route

Fare to the airport

Old Gajuwaka

ASR-1, ASR-2

₹400

Visakhapatnam railway station, Scindia

ASR-2

₹400

NAD Junction

ASR-1

₹350

RTC Complex, Siripuram, VMRDA Park

ASR-2

₹350

Gurudwara, Akkayyapalem, Maddilapalem

ASR-1

₹300

ISKCON Temple

ASR-2

₹300

Zoo Park, Hanumanthuwaka

ASR-1

₹250

Rushikonda, IT SEZ (IT Hills)

ASR-2

₹250

Madhurawada, Yendada, Kommadi

ASR-1

₹200

Marikavalasa

Both

₹200

Anandapuram, Tallavalasa

Both

₹150

Tagarapuvalasa

Both

₹100

Airport Junction

Both

₹50

One figure was reported two ways. APSRTC's launch announcement quoted ₹300 from the Dwaraka bus station, but the stop-by-stop fare tables published at launch put the RTC Complex at ₹350, the same as Siripuram just after it. We show ₹350 so that you carry enough; if the conductor charges ₹300, you are ahead. Marikavalasa was also reported at anywhere from ₹150 to ₹250 by different outlets.

First and last bus to Bhogapuram airport

The Aero Express runs from about 4:30 am to about 10:30 pm, with a bus about every 30 minutes on each route. No full timetable has been published online, so treat any single clock time you see quoted as approximate; the waiting lounges described below display the timings. The first reports at launch gave a shorter day, 4:55 am to 7:45 pm, but reports from after the service began give 4:30 am to 10:30 pm.

APSRTC's regional manager has said the hours could be extended if demand grows, which matters most for early-morning and late-night flights. We will update this page if that happens.

How long the bus takes, and when to leave for your flight

From Old Gajuwaka the journey normally takes close to two hours on ASR-1, and about 2 hours 15 minutes at peak times, mostly because of traffic near the Anandapuram bridge. ASR-2, along the coast, takes about 2½ hours end to end.

From stops further along, allow roughly:

RTC Complex or the railway station: about 2 hours

Maddilapalem or Gurudwara: about 1 hour 30 minutes

Rushikonda or the IT Hills: about 1 hour 25 minutes

Madhurawada or Kommadi: about 1 hour

Anandapuram: about 45 minutes

These are estimates from each stop's distance along the route, so add a margin. Most airlines ask domestic passengers to be at the airport about two hours before departure. Boarding at Old Gajuwaka, that means leaving about four and a half hours before your flight; from Madhurawada, about three and a half. With a bus only every half hour, aim for the one before the one you think you need.

From Bhogapuram airport to Vizag city

Arriving passengers take the same two routes in reverse. ASR-1 from the airport goes to Madhurawada, Maddilapalem, Gurudwara, NAD and Gajuwaka; ASR-2 from the airport goes to Rushikonda, Beach Road, the RTC Complex and the railway station. Fares are the same as in the table above, from the airport to your stop.

The last buses leave around 10:30 pm. If your flight lands later than about 10 pm, plan on a cab: GMR, which runs the airport, has round-the-clock cabs about 100 metres from the terminal building.

Waiting lounges for Aero Express passengers

Since September, passengers can wait for the airport bus at two temporary lounges in the city, both on the ASR-2 route: at the Araku Coffee outlet near VMRDA Park and at Sai Priya Resorts in Rushikonda. Both have boards showing Aero Express timings.

What happened to the old Visakhapatnam airport

Scheduled passenger flights at the old airport's civil enclave in the city stopped when the new airport opened: from 12:01 am on 17 August 2026, every flight moved to Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram, in Vizianagaram district, off NH-16. The airport code VTZ moved with them, so your ticket still says VTZ but means Bhogapuram. If you used to take a city bus or a short auto ride to the old airport, allow a good deal more time now.

Bhogapuram airport bus: common questions

How much is the bus from Vizag to Bhogapuram airport?

₹400 from Old Gajuwaka, the railway station and Scindia; ₹350 from NAD, the RTC Complex, Siripuram and VMRDA Park; ₹300 from Gurudwara, Maddilapalem and ISKCON; ₹250 from Zoo Park and Rushikonda; ₹200 from Madhurawada; and less from the stops nearer the airport, down to ₹50 from Airport Junction.

What time is the first bus to Bhogapuram airport?

About 4:30 am from Old Gajuwaka, with buses about every 30 minutes after that on each route.

What time is the last bus from Bhogapuram airport?

About 10:30 pm. For later arrivals there are round-the-clock cabs about 100 metres from the terminal.

Is there a bus from Visakhapatnam railway station to Bhogapuram airport?

Yes. ASR-2 calls at Visakhapatnam railway station and then the RTC Complex, running along Beach Road to the airport. The fare from the station is ₹400 and the journey takes about two hours.

How far is Bhogapuram airport from Vizag?

About 45 km from Visakhapatnam city. The bus routes are about 70 km end to end because they start at Old Gajuwaka, in the south-west of the city, and cross it before reaching the highway.

Are the Aero Express buses air-conditioned?

Yes. The fleet is 20 air-conditioned buses, 16 of them electric.

Bengaluru, 17 September 2026 — BMTC has issued a revised timetable for its
Vayu Vajra airport bus services, changing departure times across the network and moving frequencies
sharply on several routes. The new schedule takes effect from 17 September 2026 and
is published as the corporation's Vayu Vajra frequency chart (Form 3).

Every departure time on airportbus.in has been rebuilt from that document.

The figures below compare the new chart with the Vayu Vajra schedules that were in general
circulation a year ago, which is what most published timetables for Bengaluru airport buses still
show.

What the September 2026 Vayu Vajra timetable looks like

20 routes, numbered KIA-4 through KIA-15A, serving 248 stops across the
    city.

1,031 scheduled departures a day, counting both directions.

Services run effectively around the clock on the busiest corridors, with the first buses
before 01:00 and the last after 23:30.

Routes that gained services

The two busiest corridors got busier. KIA-8, which runs from Electronic City
via Central Silk Board and Marathahalli, now has 75 departures a day towards the
airport, against 57 a year ago. KIA-14, serving Royal Meenakshi Mall and
Bannerghatta Road, rises from 50 to 68 over the same period.

KIA-9, the Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic) service, remains the most frequent
airport bus in the city with 102 departures a day towards the airport, running
from 00:05 to 23:50.

Routes that were cut back

KIA-8A to BTM Layout and Kuvempu Nagar now runs 16 departures a
day, down from 37 a year ago — the largest proportional reduction in the network.
KIA-5, the Banashankari TTMC service, drops from 40 to 28.

KIA-8H to Attibele now shows a journey time of three hours,
where the schedules circulating a year ago allowed two. That changes the arrival time shown at every
stop along the route.

Why published timings often disagree

Airport bus timings for Bengaluru are widely republished and rarely rechecked. Several pages
ranking for these searches today still carry schedules from 2019, and some list routes that no
longer run. A timetable that was correct when it was written goes quietly wrong the day the operator
changes it.

Every departure time on this site comes from the operator's own chart dated 17 September 2026,
and each route's timetable is rebuilt from that document rather than transcribed by hand. The
sources for every figure are listed on our data sources page.

How to find your bus

Pick your stop and the site shows three times: when the bus sets off, when it reaches you, and
when it reaches the airport, with the next bus you can still catch at the top.

Bengaluru airport to city — where each route drops you

Every Bengaluru airport bus stop — 248 of them, searchable

Fares and what to expect

Vayu Vajra fares are set by stop and paid on board, from ₹150 near the airport to ₹410 from
Chandapura, under BMTC's fare chart of 5 January 2025. From Majestic it is ₹290: see our
Majestic to airport bus guide. Every coach is air-conditioned with a dedicated luggage bay at no extra
charge. BMTC's airport helpline is 7760991269.

Services change without notice, especially on public holidays. If you find a timing that looks
wrong, tell us and we will check it against the operator's chart.
