Fares follow MTC's stage table and are paid on board: on MAA1's low-floor buses from Rs 13 to Rs 31 at Kilambakkam, and on MAA2's AC electric buses from Rs 15 to Rs 60 at Siruseri IT Park.
What time is the first and last airport bus in Chennai?
Across the network the first departure is around 4:50 am and the last around 10:00 pm. Each route has its own timetable, so check your stop for exact times.
Is there an airport bus in Chennai late at night?
Yes, to Kilambakkam. After the last MAA1 (8:50 pm from the airport), MTC night route 70V runs between the airport and Kilambakkam until about 3:50 am, roughly every 15 to 30 minutes. It stops on GST Road at Tirusulam and Meenambakkam, not at the MAA bay by Terminal 2.
Can I carry luggage?
Yes. The buses start from the MAA bay by Gate A6 of Terminal 2, a few metres from the arrival halls, so bags only travel a short way to the bus.
