Your location
When you tap a button that asks for your location, your browser passes your coordinates to the page. They are compared against the stop list on your own device. They are never sent to a server, never written to a log, and never stored beyond the moment they are used.
The home page asks once, on load, so it can open your city for you. Everywhere else the site asks only when you press something. If you granted permission on an earlier visit your browser may answer again without prompting, which is a setting you control and can revoke at any time.
The site also checks, without asking, whether permission has already been granted or blocked. That check reports only the setting itself, never a position, and it is what lets the site skip a prompt that would fail or a button that cannot work.
Searching for an address
The address box is the one place where something you enter leaves your device. As you type, the text is sent to Photon , a free OpenStreetMap search service run by komoot, which returns matching places. Your typed text and your IP address reach them in the ordinary course of that request.
Two things are deliberately not sent. Your own coordinates never form part of the query: results are ranked using the centre of the city you already chose, which is enough to put nearby places first. And stops on this site are matched on your device first, so typing the name of a bus stop often answers without any request at all.
Once you pick a place, working out which stops are closest to it happens entirely in your browser.
What is stored on your device
If you use the city detector, the city it suggested is saved in your browser's local storage so the site can open there next time. That is a single short word, readable only by this site, and clearing your browser data removes it. Nothing else is stored.
Accounts
There are none. The site has no login and collects no personal details.
Maps
Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap when you scroll a map into view. Doing so tells OpenStreetMap your IP address and which tiles you asked for, as any image request would. Their policy is published at osmfoundation.org .
Advertising
This site currently shows no advertising and loads no advertising scripts. If that changes, this page will say so and will describe the cookies involved before any ad code runs.
Analytics
Visits are measured with Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager: which pages are viewed, the country and city Google estimates a visit comes from, the kind of device and browser, and how pages are used: whether the "Find your next airport bus" card in a blog post is seen and which of its buttons is tapped, and when the light and dark switch is pressed, and which way. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to tell one visit from another, and does not log or store IP addresses.
Your location is not part of this: the coordinates described above never appear in a page address or an event, so they never reach Google Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on , and read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com .
