Mumbai T1 is closed: how to reach Terminal 2 by bus
Mumbai airport's Terminal 1 closed on 25 October 2026. Which BEST bus to take to Terminal 2 from Andheri, Kurla, Ghatkopar and the rest of the city, how long it takes and what it costs.
Terminal 1 at Mumbai airport closed on 25 October 2026. It is being rebuilt and is expected to stay shut until 2029–30. Flights that used T1 now leave from Terminal 2 at Sahar or from Navi Mumbai airport, so if you used to take a bus to T1 at Santacruz, you now need one to T2.
Nine BEST routes stop at Terminal 2. The quickest is the 337 from Andheri station (East): a bus roughly every 10 to 20 minutes from 5 am to 1:30 am, 12 minutes to the terminal, for ₹10. Below is the bus from each part of the city, where it stops at T2, and how to get back.
First, check your ticket
- BOM is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Since 25 October all its flights use Terminal 2, at Sahar in Andheri East. This guide is for you.
- NMI is Navi Mumbai International Airport, a separate airport across the harbour. None of the buses below go there.
Bus to Terminal 2 from a railway station
Routes numbered A- are air-conditioned and cost a little more.
| From | Bus | First and last | To T2 | Fare |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Andheri (East) | 337 | 5:00 am – 1:30 am | 12 min | ₹10 |
| Andheri (West) | A‑180 | 5:37 am – 10:27 pm | 13 min | ₹20 |
| Ghatkopar (West) | A‑331 | 6:00 am – 10:00 pm | 15 min | ₹20 |
| Kurla (West) | A‑365 | 5:50 am – 10:10 pm | 19 min | ₹20 |
| Vidyavihar | 308 | 6:15 am – 11:40 pm | 19 min | ₹15 |
The 337 starts at Agarkar Chowk, just outside Andheri station on the east side. It is by far the most frequent, with 99 buses a day: about every 10 minutes in the morning, every 10 to 20 minutes during the day, and every 13 minutes after 9 pm. On the west side, A-180 leaves from Andheri bus station. The other routes run a bus every 15 to 35 minutes, except A-365 from Kurla, which runs only 19 times a day, so check the time before you set out.
These are BEST's timetabled times, Monday to Saturday. Saki Naka, Marol and the roads around Andheri station jam at rush hour, so leave yourself extra time. On Sundays some routes run fewer buses, such as A-180 with 48 and A-331 with 30, and a few run more, such as A-365 with 22.

| Jogeshwari (East) | 308 | 24 min | ₹20 |
| Powai, Kanjurmarg, Bhandup, Mulund | A‑409 | 16 min from Hiranandani, 48 from Mulund | ₹20–35 |
| Chembur, Ghatkopar (East), Vikhroli | 382 | 38 min from Ghatkopar bus station, 54 from Chembur | ₹20–35 |
| Mahim, Bandra (East), Santacruz, Vile Parle | 321 | 26 min from Vile Parle, 41 from Mahim | ₹20–30 |
| Worli, Prabhadevi, Dadar | A‑35 | 46 to 51 min | ₹40 |
| SEEPZ and Marol | A‑35 | 12 min | ₹20 |
| Barve Nagar, Asalpha, Saki Naka | 321 | 14 min | ₹15 |
Most of these run from about 5 am until about 10 pm. A-35 from Worli starts later, at 7:10 am. Every departure, and when it reaches your stop, is on each route's timetable page.
If you used to go to Terminal 1
Two bus routes pass the old terminal on their way to T2:
- 321, from Mahim, Bandra and Vile Parle, stops at Domestic Airport Terminal 1A and 1B, then carries on to T2, about 23 minutes later. Stay on.
- A-35, from Worli, Dadar and Bandra, passes Domestic Airport Junction and reaches T2 about 18 minutes later.
On Metro Line 3, the Aqua Line, stay on past CSMIA T1 station to CSMIA T2, two stops further on. A 100-metre footbridge from exit 1A leads to the terminal.
Where the bus stops at Terminal 2
The BEST stop is called CSMIA Terminal 2, an open-air bus stand on the approach road to the terminal. Allow a few minutes to walk from there to departures with your bags.
Not every bus ends here. A-331, A-365, A-409 and 382 carry on to Sahar Cargo, and 308, 321 and A-35 run through to the far side of the city. So make sure you get off at Terminal 2.
Getting home from Terminal 2
The buses back leave from the same stand.
| To | Bus | First and last from T2 | Journey |
|---|---|---|---|
| Andheri station (East) | 337 | 5:25 am – 1:55 am | 10 min |
| Andheri (West), Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Malad | A‑180 | 6:10 am – 11:30 pm | 44 min to Malvani |
| Ghatkopar (West) | A‑331 | 6:35 am – 10:50 pm | 18 min |
| Kurla (West) | A‑365 | 6:41 am – 11:06 pm | 25 min |
| Vidyavihar | 308 | 5:34 am – 10:34 pm | 18 min |
| Jogeshwari (East) | 308 | 6:34 am – 11:59 pm | 23 min |
| Powai, Bhandup, Mulund | A‑409 | 6:27 am – 11:37 pm | 47 min to Mulund |

| Bandra, Dadar, Worli | A‑35 | 6:02 am – 9:12 pm | 49 min to Worli |
After midnight only the 337 runs, to Andheri station (East), and the last one leaves T2 at 1:55 am. From then until 5:25 am there is no bus, so a late arrival means a taxi or an app cab.
Fares and paying
BEST charges by distance. You pay the conductor on board, or buy a mobile ticket in the Chalo app. Ordinary buses cost ₹10 for up to 5 km, ₹15 to 10 km and ₹20 to 15 km. AC buses, the ones numbered A-, cost ₹12, ₹20 and ₹30, with 5% GST added. Fares to T2 run from ₹10 on the 337 from Andheri to ₹40 on A-35 from Worli.
City buses have no luggage hold, so your bags ride inside with you. BEST's fare notice charges luggage at the adult fare, up to ₹30 on ordinary buses and ₹35 on AC.
Changing to Navi Mumbai airport
If you are connecting to a flight at Navi Mumbai, Navi Mumbai airport has announced a free shuttle bus between the two airports, every hour, run by Cityflo, Aarya and Chalo. Allow about an hour and a half for the trip.
